Ear Nose Throat

The branch of medicine that examines, diagnoses, treats and researches diseases occurring in the ear, nose, throat, neck and head region is called otolaryngology. The scope of the field, which is normally called Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, is quite wide. The treatment of a simple flu infection and the correction of intranasal structures that block the respiratory tract also fall within the field of ENT.

As Private Ata Health Hospital, we aim to solve the problems of patients coming to our ENT clinic in the shortest time and in the most accurate way by performing detailed examinations. We eliminate the diseases that occur in the ear, nose, throat and head region from being a fearful dream in our specialists with years of experience.

Functional Nose Surgeries
Nose surgeries can be performed for cosmetic purposes or to eliminate physiological problems. Problems that prevent the person from breathing properly are eliminated with functional nose surgeries. Operations such as Rhinoplasty, Septorhinoplasty, Concha surgery, Septum deviation are aimed at improving breathing and are included in the functional nose surgery classification.

Septoplasty (Septum Deviation Surgery)
In the event that the shape of the bones and cartilages in the nasal cavity deteriorates and prevents breathing as a result of congenital or subsequent traumas, the operation performed to correct the nasal cavity anatomically and solve breathing problems is called "septoplasty".

Adenoid, Tonsil, Ear Tube Placement with Thermal Welding Method
The advancement of technology has also revealed treatment methods that are described as painless and knife-free. Adenoid, tonsil and ear tube insertion operations, especially in children, are performed with the Thermal Welding method. In this treatment method where thermal energy is used, the recovery period is very short and the post-operative pain is minimized.

Snoring and Sleep Apnea Surgery
Although snoring and sleep apnea diseases are often confused with each other, they are actually different concepts. Sleep apnea can be defined as the inability to breathe during sleep as a result of obstruction of the airways and is fatal. Snoring, on the other hand, is not a disease in itself, but a sound that occurs as a result of the breath vibrating the throat muscles as the narrowed airways begin to open. Snoring and sleep apnea problems, which increase the sleep problems of both patients and their relatives and reduce their quality of life, can be treated.

Surgical methods include operations on the root of the tongue, functional nose surgeries, and operations that change the anatomy of the mouth. With the UPPP method, which stands out in snoring and sleep apnea surgery and uses laser technology, successful results are obtained in problems related to tonsils, small tongue and soft palate.

Radio Frequency Application to the Nasal Fles (RF to the lower concha)
The problem of enlarged nasal flesh, which is among the factors that cause nasal congestion and prevent breathing, is solved with radio frequency applications. It is possible to reduce turbinate hypertrophy, in other words, the growth of nasal flesh, in a short time and precisely with radio frequency application.

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS)
Endoscopic sinus surgery is used to improve the breathing and quality of life of chronic sinusitis patients who do not improve with medication. During this operation, the functionality of the drainage pathways in the sinuses is increased and the bones and mucous membranes blocking the channels are cleaned using fiber optic telescopes.

Biopsy, Nodule, Cyst, Polyp, Edema Surgery of Vocal Cords (Laryngoscopy, MLS)
The causes of problems such as differentiation, bifurcation, hoarseness and vibration in people's voices should be determined. As a result of detailed examinations, treatments are applied when the factors causing hoarseness are determined. In cases where detailed vocal cord examinations are required, an instrument called laryngoscopy is used.

Removal of the Larynx and Lymph Nodes in the Neck (Laryngectomy, Neck Dissection)
ENT specialists may need to use surgical methods to remove cancerous cells in the larynx and neck. Especially if the cancerous cells have spread to the lymph nodes, the lymph nodes are removed along with the tumor to stop the progression. The process of removing the lymph nodes together with fatty tissues is called neck dissection.

If there is a problem with the vocal cords, the same procedure is performed for the larynx. With laryngectomy surgeries, the larynx is removed and the operation is performed for the person to use the vocal cords in the esophagus.

Repair of the Eardrum (Tympanoplasty)
Tympanoplasty is a surgery in which the inflammation that accumulates in the middle ear and mastoid bone and prevents hearing is removed and the eardrum is reconstructed. Tympanoplasty operations are performed under local or general anesthesia. The method of surgery is determined by the patient's health condition.

Middle Ear Surgery (Mastoidectomy, Tympanomastoidectomy)
Chronic otitis media is a serious health problem that can lead to hearing problems. For this reason, the only solution for recurrent otitis media that cannot be treated with medication is surgical operations. If the inflammation located in the mastoid bone is cleaned and the operation is completed, it is called "Mastoidectomy"; If the inflammation located in the mastoid bone is cleaned and the eardrum is reconstructed at the same time, it is called "Tympanomastoidectomy" operation.

Pre-Ear Salivary Gland Surgery (Parotidectomy)
Parotitis, that is, operations in which the salivary gland under the ear is removed, is called "parotidectomy". During this operation, part or all of the salivary gland can be removed; the extent of the operation will be determined by the patient's health status and the size of the tumors will shape the treatment process.

Submandibular Salivary Gland Surgery (Submandibulerglandexcision)
In the case of tumors and chronic inflammation, the salivary glands under the chin may need to be removed. The surgery is performed through a small incision and is usually performed under general anesthesia.

Endoscopic Dacriocystorhinostomy (Endoscopic Tear Sac Surgery)
Tear ducts become blocked as a result of infection, adhesions and stones in the tear sacs and tear ducts. Treatment of this blockage is possible with surgical methods. In the endoscopic dacriocystorhinostomy method, the tear sac is accessed through the nose and the complaints of the patients are eliminated by creating a connection.

Repair of Upper and Lower Jaw Fractures (Fracture Repair of Mandible and Maxilla)
Repairing jaw fractures makes it possible to restore basic actions such as speaking and eating. The experience and skill of the specialists during the repair of lower and upper jaw fractures will increase the success of the treatment process.

Removal and Aesthetic Repair of Benign or Malignant Masses from the Face and Neck
One of the surgeries performed in ENT clinics is the removal of benign or malignant masses in the face and neck area. The procedures performed after the masses are identified are performed without disturbing the aesthetic appearance of the person.
